ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION & WASH

CCFD promotes Environmental Conservation and WASH through community awareness campaigns and handson projects that protect and restore the environment. We place women and youth at the center of these initiatives, strengthening their leadership and participation in sustainable natural resource management. Community philanthropy is a key driver of our work—local contributions, volunteerism, and collective action help ensure ownership and long-term sustainability.

We raise and distribute tree seedlings for community forests and individual woodlots, supporting afforestation climate resilience, and income opportunities. Our work also focuses on soil conservation, including gully reclamation and promoting vegetative cover to reduce erosion and land degradation. Waste management remains a core activity, where communities are supported to adopt better waste disposal and recycling practices that contribute to cleaner and healthier surroundings.

We strengthen Communities preparedness and response to natural disasters Through community-led initiatives, local resource mobilization, early warning awareness, and disaster risk reduction activities, we empower communities to protect themselves and recover quickly when disasters occur. This approach ensures that environmental conservation, WASH, and disaster resilience are rooted in local action and supported by community philanthropy.
